Dubai is to get seven brand-new pedestrian bridges this holiday season, following claims by the emirate’s traffic man that roads in Dubai were not safe for pedestrian crossings.
Important General Mohammed Al Zafin, the targeted visitors chief, said pedestrians were liable for nearly 95 percent of run-over accidents along the city Jumeirah Park for Rent.
He said many accidents on motorways, like the Emirates Route, occurred in the actual morning or through the night when workers making way backward and forward work crossed roads in the irresponsible manner.
Providing a couple of states, the traffic main said seven people were killed on Dubai roads more than a period of ten days, a price he called “alarming”.
But Zafin also put blame on individuals.

Zafin claimed the Dubai targeted visitors, police had unveiled a drive, “cross safely”, to teach road crossers with regards to safety on roads, adding that the actual drive would carry on until July 8.
In the connected development, Roads and Move Authority (RTA) declared the seven brand-new pedestrian bridges being built in 2015 will be set up within Baghdad Street near Ponds Park, Al Rasheed Road near Hadeer Supermarket, Baghdad Block near HH Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistani Institution, Al Maktoum Block near Auto Shopping mall, Beniyas Road near Wharfage, Amman Block near Nahda2, along with Al Meena Route near Capitol Motel.
RTA Traffic along with Road Agency (TRA) CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Maitha bin Adai told newsmen which the addition would lower road accident–related casualties from the emirate.
“The construction involving pedestrian bridges from the emirate is just about the tactics adopted by the RTA to reduce the volume of pedestrian accidents within traffic and enhance pedestrian mobility, ” your lover said.
Maitha claimed the rate involving pedestrian fatalities for each 100, 000 population was reduced to at least one in 2014, down from 9. 5 deaths per 100, 000 population seven in the past.
She said facilities specific to pedestrians were increasing, dedicated walking tracks had been set up and an increasing number of areas were becoming designed as around pedestrians so that as pedestrian-friendly communities.
